How so very apropos and timely both!
Here a video descibing the Russian field-expedient spaced mesh armor a defense against Javelin [and NLAW] anti-armor weaponry.
IS NOT a field-expedient. I am wrong and freely admit so. Has become more than expedient!
NOT "bedspring" either. Sun visor more appropriate.
"In recent months Russian T-72B3M and some older T-72B variants have been seen with a new, special 'sun visor' bolted to their turrets to prevent strikes from top-attack munitions, particularly the American FGM-148 Javelin antitank guided missile. Despite appearing to be relatively inexpensive this could grant the T-72 or any tank ever for that matter the ability to defend itself from attacks coming in at a very high angle without requiring expensive hard-kill active protection systems."
DESTRUCTION IS POSSIBLE BUT NO LONGER ASSURED!
Golly, you learn something new every day and are so much the better for it too!
