The capture of a Russian Krasukha-4 has caused some excitement in certain quarters. TOP SECRET Russian electronic-warfare appartus now in Ukrainian hands and described as an "intelligence goldmine".

Further an analysis of the capture from the Internet web site "The Aviationist" their appraisal less than sanguine.

2. "Ukrainian Forces Might Have Captured Parts Of Russian Krasukha-4 Electronic Warfare System".

"According to the Russians, the system is intended to neutralize Low-Earth Orbit satellites and AWACS [Airborne Warning & Control System] at ranges between 150 to 300 kilometers [about one-hundred forty miles]."

ONLY portions of the total system captured? Images show an overturned van with the contents apparently stripped. An entire intact Krauskha-4 has not been captured? Just bits and pieces?
