Frostbite.

This is coolbert:

Russian soldiers frostbitten? Russians? Frostbitten?

How can that possibly be? I am incredulous.

The tip from yahoo.com and thanks to same.

"Russian troops are getting frostbite in Ukraine because they don't have the right cold-weather gear, US official says"

Story by Jake Epstein - March 22, 2022. "Business Insider".

A US official said some Russians were getting frostbite in Ukraine because they had the wrong gear.

The official said the issue had forced those troops to the sidelines of the fighting.

It's the latest setback Russian forces have faced in their invasion.

What is this? Temperatures today Kiev rather mild even by Chicago standards. Those temps shown in Farenheit and not celsius. 32 deg. F. = 0 deg. C. 60 deg. F = 15 deg. C. Shouldn't be any frostbite!

Scarcely is frostbite during a time of war, soldiers exposed for an extended period and casualties from the cold an experience unique in the history of warfare. EVEN the Russian can suffer!

Russians experiencing extreme cold during the Winter War with Finland 1940 for which THEY were not prepared:
