TF-X.

This is coolbert:

“Our machine is a mock-up, but in 2023 there will be a real machine, and first flight is in 2025, and [it will be in] service in 2028.”

From Russian Internet media Sputnik:

"Turkey Unveils New Fifth-Generation Jet TF-X, Indigenous Alternative to F-35 (VIDEO)"

F-35 Lightning has met it's match? TF-X here we come?

"Just as Turkey lost access to Lockheed Martin’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, Turkish Aerospace Industries unveiled a model of its indigenously designed fifth-generation fighter jet, dubbed the TF-X, at the Paris Air Show on Monday."

"According to Defense News, the TF-X will have a top speed of Mach 2, a range of 600 miles, and will be capable of lifting 60,000 pounds upon takeoff. Its engines will provide the jet with 20,000 pounds of thrust each, making it roughly comparable to the Joint Strike Fighter, although a tad faster."

As the article says the Turk is already building fuselages for the F-35. So they are not starting from scratch. Whether this is a go or not remains to be seen, a completed and fly-able combat warplane.

AND EVEN IF THE TF-X IS A SUCCESS, ERDOGAN HAS GUTTED HIS AIR FORCE TO SUCH AN EXTENT IN THE AFTERMATH OF THE RECENT COUP ATTEMPT HE WILL NOT HAVE ANY PROFICIENT PILOTS TO FLY THE FIFTH GENERATION WARPLANE.
