Regret.

This is coolbert:

Haven't had any posts recently the topic being Afghanistan.

Regret is the order of the day in this case. I thought this sort of thing was under control.  Friendly fire incident with disastrous consequences. Second time in a month also.

From Zero Hedge and the article by Tyler Durden. Once again too thanks to the tip from Jay.

"US Wipes Out Entire Afghan Security Forces Unit In Second Major Friendly Fire Incident"

"For the second time in less than a month, US forces carried out air strikes 'in self defense' in Afghanistan, only to discover that they were actually attacking Afghan security forces. The Wednesday strike ended up wiping out an entire unit, though officials have yet to disclose the exact number of deaths, beyond it apparently being everyone present."

. . . .

"Despite all the talk of self defense and US troops being 'under effective fire,' officials insist not a single US casualty occurred."

Self-defense not really in self-defense. And after all this, what Afghan friendly will want to work with U.S. forces??

coolbert.
