Guard Force?

This is coolbert:

More on the Chechen combat units now being sent from Russian to Syria.

From the Saker and thanks to the Ron Unz Internet web site.

"Putin Sends Chechen Special Operation Forces to Syria" by THE SAKER and as dated DECEMBER 9, 2016

"Very interesting news today: according to the journal Izvestia, Russia will be sending operators from the so-called 'Chechen' special forces battalions 'West' and 'East' to Syria to 'guard the Russian installations' in Khmeimim and Tartus. According to Russian sources, these two battalions have been converted into a 'military police' force which will be fully deployed by the end of December."

"This news leaves many fascinating questions unanswered."

Fascinating and unanswered questions for which the Saker in part or in whole answers to a varying degree.

CHECHENS LARGE NUMBERS OF THEM ALSO FIGHTING WITH THE ISLAMIC STATE COMBATANTS. THIS MIGHT BECOME A CHECHEN VERSUS CHECHEN WAR, SYRIAN STYLE?

You need to read it all. Chechens as merely a guard for Russian military installations in Syria? Somehow I doubt that is the full and complete mission.

coolbert.
