Gruesome, World War One!
"Discovering WW1 tunnel of death hidden in France for a century"
"Not since the 1970s has there been such an important discovery from the Great War in France. In woods on a ridge not far from the city of Reims, the bodies of more than 270 German soldiers have lain for more than a century - after they died the most agonizing deaths imaginable."
Opening to a three-hundred meter long [1,000 feet] tunnel [Winterberg] found. German troops buried inside. WW1 big-bore artillery making direct hit on both ends of the tunnel. Nearly three-hundred Germans sealed inside, buried alive. Death "agonizing" and slow. Suffocation.
Souvenir and relic hunters making the discovery. Ghoulish.
AND I EXPECT DANGEROUS TOO. UNEXPLODED ORDNANCE [UXB] STILL ACTIVE. ONE WRONG STRIKE FROM A SHOVEL AND YOU ARE BANG GONE!
Leave the dead alone! That tunnel a mass war grave. Should be forbidden to do further investigation or excavation.
