This is coolbert:
Once more from Harry at Sharkhunters a Hot Mail item of interest:
• "An informed source has confirmed that the Black Fleet’s Rostov-on-Don diesel-electric attack submarine which disappeared from NATO radar [sonar] screens last week remains in contact with command and is transmitting information. NATO’s anti-submarine warfare forces have been trying to find the Rostov-on-Don for a week now. Attempts to find it have not met with success. At the same time, Russian command remains in contact with the sub, the source said."
Further and in addition from Internet media:
"Danger – a Russian submarine missing from NATO radars"
"The submarine of the Black Sea Fleet 'Rostov-on-Don' passed the Strait of Gibraltar submerged and is currently moving to the eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea. This was reported by a source close to the fleet."
"Earlier it was reported that a diesel-electric submarine of the Varshavyanka project managed to deceive NATO anti-submarine forces and has been avoiding detection for more than a week."
ROSTOV-ON-DON ASSIGNED TO THE BLACK SEA FLEET BUT OBSERVED PASSING FROM WEST TO EAST THROUGH THE STRAINT OF GIBRALTAR?
