Crew has been evacuated? That really has to be a serious situation. A skeletal crew mans the vessel preventing the hulk from drifting aimlessly? This does sound like a potential major disaster.

Within historical context spontaneous detonation of internal weapon stores of warships was not such a rare experience. Catastrophic damage and almost total loss of life of the crew quite often the case!!

We have not heard the last of this?
