Ballistic.

This is coolbert:

"New Video Shows Russian Gunship Helicopters Continue Using Ballistic Rocket-Launching Tactic In Ukraine"

From "The Aviationist" March 31, 2022 article by DAVID CENCIOTTI.

"A new clip from the cockpit again shows Russian Aerospace Forces attack helicopters turned into airborne MRLS and using unguided rockets, in a quite indiscriminate way."

"Few weeks ago we reported about a video coming from Ukraine that showed Russian Ka-52 Hokum-B and Mi-28 Havoc helicopters using what are believed to be unguided 80mm caliber rockets in a pretty unusual way: the clip start with the helicopters flying at low level then pull up into steep climb, and launch the rockets at the top of the parabolic arc of their flightpath, sending them downrange."

See the YOU TUBE video a Russian HOKUM in action using the ballistic-launch technique.

Thanks to the wiki regarding those rockets as fired from HOKUM: "Unguided weapons such as rockets can be carried on four pylons under the stub wings. Typical rockets carried are the 122 mm (4.8 in) S-13, fired from five-round B-13 rocket pods, and the 80 mm (3.1 in) S-8, fired from 20-round B8V-20 pods.[17] The S-8 and S-13 rockets used by the Mi-28 are usually unguided. In the most common configuration, one can expect 40 S-8 rockets or 10 S-13 rockets. Both rockets have their variants, from HEAT warheads to thermobaric warheads. The S-8 has a shorter range and smaller warhead than the S-13, but compensates with numbers."

AND THE ACCURACY OF THESE BALLISTICALLY FIRED ROCKETS IS? OR IT JUST THE BANG THAT COUNTS?

Appreciation additionally the English tabloid "The Sun" for the original video footage.
