Body.

This is coolbert:

"‘lean and trim’".

The world-wide phenomenon! Overweight! Even the military suffers. And even the best among the military suffer.

1. "Spanish army's elite La Legión regiment put on diet over obesity fears"

"Bridegrooms of Death known for toughness have been given exercise and nutrition tips after 6% were found to be obese"

Spanish Legion. Analogous to the French Foreign Legion. Comprised of Spanish speakers from any part of the world!

"The Spanish army has put soldiers in one of its most famous units on a diet amid fears some are becoming obese."

"Members of La Legión, an elite infantry regiment founded almost a century ago, are nicknamed the Bridegrooms of Death and known for their toughness, distinctive pastel uniforms and rapid marching pace." [march at a pace of 180 steps per minute!]

"However, concerns have emerged over the legionnaires’ waistlines and fitness levels, prompting the army to act."

SPANISH LEGION TROOPS PREFER THE OPEN COLLAR SHIRTS, THE FORM FITTING UNIFORM. BEARDS AND HAIRY CHESTS IF POSSIBLE BUT NOT MANDATORY!

Problem as not confined to the Spanish Legion:

2. "The Marine Corps [USA] has an eating disorder problem"

"The Corps' relentless focus on physical appearance is hurting its troops, a new report says."

Article from "Task and Purpose" by HALEY BRITZKY | AR 30, 2022.

"The Marine Corps’ relentless focus on physical appearance is resulting in Marines turning to unhealthy and dangerous eating disorders at nearly double the rate of other service members, according to a new report from the RAND Corporation."

Disorders of whatever sort not mentioned. Bulemia? Anorexic? Nutrional deficiency?

Disorders we can suspect related to requirements of: * Body/Mass Index, * Height/Weight, * Physical Training Test scores.

The ancient Romans when evaluating a recruit for the legions paid attention to the width of the shoulders as compared to the width of the waist. Greater the ratio the more suitable the candidate for enlistment.
