Exchange.

This is coolbert:

Surprisingly so both combatants the Ukraine Conflict have not been hesitant for prisoner-of-war [POW] exchanges. Even while combat continues such exchanges are being made. Normally any sort of repatriation of POW only done during a time of peace talks or armistice.

Here in reverse chronological order:

1. "Ukraine conducted new exchange of prisoners: 32 more soldiers at home."

11.10.22

"Ukraine managed to carry out another exchange of prisoners of war and release 32 soldiers, as well as return the body of Israeli Dmytro Fialka."

2. "Another exchange of prisoners of war was held in Donetsk region: Ukraine returned 14 defenders"

02.09.22

"An exchange of prisoners took place in the country. 19 Ukrainians are returning home, including the wounded"

3. "Another exchange of prisoners took place. 19 people are returning home, including 10 servicemen - Vereshchuk"

21.04.22.

"An exchange of prisoners took place in the country. 19 Ukrainians are returning home, including the wounded."

4. "Next exchange of prisoners: 22 servicemen and 9 civilians of Ukraine return home, - Vereshchuk"

14.04.22

"On Thursday, April 14, the fourth exchange of prisoners of war between Ukraine and Russia took place."

Hardly too exchanges and swaps of POW between the two combatants limited to these occasions.

To what extent parole in the military sense involved here I cannot say

"Parole is the agreement of persons who have been taken prisoner by an enemy that they will not again take up arms against those who captured them, either for a limited time or during the continuance of the war.'"
