STOP thief! Plunder as an ETERNAL aspect of war. Done as an effort methodical and done by approved entities the results much worse than mere random destruction.

"Ukrainian officials in Mariupol have accused occupied Russian military forces of stealing 'all the valuable exhibits out of the city' following museum bombings that left cultural artifacts unattended."

"The accusation made by the Mariupol City Council on its Telegram account said that the alleged theft by Russians mimics actions of the Nazis during World War II, when Adolf Hitler's Third Reich ordered the seizure of cultural property that did not reflect Nazi ideals and could be sold for financial gain for the purpose of creating a new cultural museum in Austria."

NAZI PREDATIONS WW2 THEIR THEFT OF VALUABLE ART WORKS AND ITEMS OF GREAT CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE WELL DOCUMENTED. MANY ITEMS OF GREAT GONE, NEVER SEEN SINCE.

Predations of the Red Army during WW2 not so well documented but also very great. Trophy brigades as referred to accompanying Soviet troops during the march westward toward Berlin and ultimate victory. Steal entire factories as war reparations and also loot cultural items of great value or historical significance. Worse that many "cultural items of great value or historical significance" as plundered NEVER properly cataloged or inventoried. Disposition many years later not known.

See this one too. A new one on me. Nazi plunder as restored to the Soviet in the aftermath of the war by the USA government never acknowledged. Ungrateful Soviet/Russian just cannot say thank you I fear.
