"According to the Israeli Ministry of Defense on October 19, 2023, the United States recently delivered the initial shipment of US-made David light armored vehicles, which is part of a Foreign Military Sale (FMS). This FMS was awarded on April 6, 2023, to the American company MDT Armor, for a total value of $21,913,585. For the first time in decades, a US cargo plane has delivered armored vehicles to Israel during a period of ongoing conflict. These armored vehicles are intended to replace vehicles within the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) damaged during the war against Hamas militants that began on October 7, 2023."

First time in decades specifically since 1973! The Yom Kippur/Ramadan War!

Primarily David designed for military law enforcement and NOT a combat fighting machine. Referred to as a light-armored or up-armored vehicle.
