This is coolbert:
We are talking the Hamid Karzai airport Kabul and not Bagram.
Turks to the rescue?
As reported by "Breitbart" the article by JOHN HAYWARD.
"Erdogan Wants U.S. to Pay for Turkish Troops in Afghanistan"
"Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday demanded funding from the United States for a force of Turkish troops that could prospectively guard the airport in Kabul after U.S. forces complete their withdrawal from Afghanistan."
AS DESCRIBED SIMPLE GUARD DUTY AND NOT COUNTER-INSURGENCY!
Yet one more instance of the Turk wanting to assume a more active role as a regional power and beyond. A consistent pattern slow and steady and undeniable hardly has abated but only increases.
Turks want to play a bigger role in the world geo-political strategic considerations and intrigue but insist on the USA paying? USA involvement in Afghan hardly going to end with American military withdrawal.
coolbert.
