Medical treatment for Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder [PTSD] Israeli style. This occurring in the aftermath of the Yom Kippur/Ramadan, Ramadan/Yom Kippur War of 1973. Israeli soldiers wrecks as a result of prolonged exposure to the extreme physical and mental stress of combat. Soldiers no longer able to return to civilian society and function as a normal human being. Treatment consisting of: 1. Administration of drugs. 2. Noise induced flashbacks. Therapy as brutal in the extreme. Hopefully the soldier being treated will be able to return to society as a useful and fully functional individual. Not to have any continued military function or serve in any military capacity in the future.
"Flashback: Psychiatry. - - recurrent and abnormally vivid recollection of a traumatic experience, as a battle, sometimes accompanied by hallucinations"
BRUTAL IN THE EXTREME YES! AND DOES IT WORK? THAT IS THE QUESTION? PERHAPS MODERN PSYCHIATRIC TECHNIQUES HAVE MADE SUCH MEANS AND METHODS OBSOLETE?
