This is coolbert:
Swing low sweet chariot, coming for to bring you home? Hardly!
Upgrades and improvements to the B-52H force to include a variety of new weapons.
Part and parcel of the SWING program. SWING (Smart Weapons Integration Next Generation).
1. AGM-158 JASSM. Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile.
"The AGM-158 JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile) is a low observable standoff air-launched cruise missile developed by Lockheed Martin for the United States Armed Forces"
2. Long Range Stand Off Weapon. LRSO.
"The Long Range Stand Off Weapon (LRSO) is a nuclear-armed air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) under development that will replace AGM-86 ALCM."
B-52 FUNCTIONING AS A STAND-OFF WEAPONS DELIVERY SYSTEM.
3. GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB).
"The GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) commonly known as "Mother of All Bombs") is a large-yield bomb, developed for the United States military . . . it was [is] said to be the most powerful non-nuclear weapon in the American arsenal."
MOAB mounted on pylons [strengthened?]. Previously MOAB only carried by air transport/special operations aircraft.
Hardly also "improvements" scarcely limited to munitions alone as listed in # 1, # 2 and number # 3.
4. ADM-160 MALD.
"The ADM-160 MALD (Miniature Air-Launched Decoy) is a decoy missile developed by the United States."
Quail decoy supplanted by MALD. Quail still in the inventory?
5. Sniper Advanced Targeting Pod.
"Sniper pod. The Lockheed Martin Sniper is a targeting pod for military aircraft that provides positive target identification, autonomous tracking, GPS coordinate generation, and precise weapons guidance from extended standoff ranges"
AGAIN THE B-62 FUNCTION PRIMARILY AS A STAND-OFF DELIVERY SYSTEM WITH GLOBAL REACH!
6. PDU-5B dispenser unit.
"The PDU-5/B is an aircraft-deployed leaflet dispersal unit. It is derived from the CBU-100 'Rockeye' Cluster Bomb, developed by the U.S. Air Force around 1999".
On the wings of our B-52 we bring our surrender leaflets to you?? First leaflets, then MOAB? Take your pick.
