This is coolbert:
An armistice, a truce, a cease-fire. A long and prolonged period of seemingly fruitless and even futile negotiations.
As in Korea so too it will be in Ukraine?
1. "Ukraine could join ranks of ‘frozen’ conflicts, U.S. officials say"
Yahoo News ^ | 5/18/23 | Nahal Toosi thanks to the tip from Freeper.
"U.S. officials are planning for the growing possibility that the Russia-Ukraine war will turn into a frozen conflict that lasts many years — perhaps decades — and joins the ranks of similar lengthy face-offs in the Korean peninsula, South Asia and beyond. The options discussed within the Biden administration for a long-term 'freeze' include where to set potential lines that Ukraine and Russia would agree not to cross, but which would not have to be official borders."

2. "Defeated NATO and Kiev Will Soon Say ‘A Frozen Conflict Anyone?’"

Keep in mind that in the Donbass there has been a persistent conflict that has been waged for seven years PRIOR to Feb. 2022. A conflict with a stalemated situation, neither side able to prevail. A conflict raging from a situation of low-intensity to medium-intensity warfare.
I hardly think too that the Ukraine Conflict will be resolved with negotiations. Both sides too adamant in their pronouncements and stated goals. Unless something dramatic is to happen, whatever that might be.
