Side-lined.

This is coolbert:

"sideline: noun | The position or point of view of those who observe rather than participate in an activity."

From www.dailymail.com.uk the story by RACHAEL BUNYAN and WILL STEWART FOR MAILONLINE | 6 September 2022 |

1. "Putin limps across the room as he observes major Russian war games alongside 'side-lined' defense minister Sergei Shoigu"

" * Vladimir Putin, 69, observed the major Vostok war games with defense minister" * "As he arrived at the command post, Putin appeared to be walking with a limp" * "The Russian President has been plagued by health rumors in recent months"

Vlad in trouble? Russia in trouble?

"Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared to walk with a limp as he attended Russia's major Vostok war games today, raising fresh doubts over his health."

2. "Russian Putin sidelines Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu for unsuccessful war progress"

From "Euro Weekly News" ^ | 29 August 2022 | Joshua Manning the tip from Freeper.

If true consider this to be significant within context of the Ukraine Conflict? Russian Minister of Defense Shoigu banished? Out-of-favor as they used to say in the old Soviet Union. A confidant of Vlad now less trusted and relied upon.

I was mildly surprised that a man such as Shoigu is not a career military man. More of a bureaucrat and managerial type who however is enamored of the uniform with medals.

Shoigu was director of the the Russian civil defense and first responder apparatus that DID have a quasi-military status. But was NOT a career military professional.
