TO ME THIS IS ALL PREPOSTEROUS! A "SYMMETRICAL" RESPONSE TO A THREAT MORE OR LESS PERCEIVED BUT NOT EXISTING IN REALITY?

"The only similar force is based in Crimea – consisting of the 126th Separate Coastal Defense Brigade of the Black Sea Fleet"

A "division" of coastal Defense forces to consist of that combination of:

* Coastal artillery of the tube variety.

* Anti-ship missiles ground launched.

* Naval infantry. [marines]

* Some sort of air defense?

Exact size and composition of such a "division" not stated.

Russian troops ready to defend that Russian border [with Alaska] only fifty miles from American soil where the threat is about a ZERO!
