This is coolbert:
Coalition warfare rarely works well. How many times must I say it. The various partners in a military coalition often do not work together. Focused and concentrated energy is lacking. SOMETIMES EVEN ELEMENTS OF A COALITION IN COMBAT WITH ONE ANOTHER!!
Here with an event most troubling. Thanks to Robert for the report.
"Turkey defies US/UK coalition against the Islamic State, attacks the Yazidis instead"
"In a separate development, Yazidi Sinjar Resistance Units (YBŞ) in Iraq have reportedly been under sustained attack from Turkish-backed forces since the morning of 3 March."
Yazidi Sinjar Resistance Units (YBŞ) affiliated with YPG and the PKK (Kurdistan Workers Party) as is alleged!
An affiliation that has evidently raised the ire of the Turk. Proxies of the Turk doing the dirty work as part of a counter-productive grand strategy that does no one any good!!
"Today’s attack on the Yazidis is attributed to a 500-strong group calling itself 'RojPesh' (or ‘Rojava Peshmerga’). Despite this name, the RojPesh is closely allied to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) of northern Iraq, and is suspected of being little more than a group of Turkish-backed mercenaries."
YBŞ and RojPesh. More actors on the stage, more players on the field, more cards in the deck. Fancy that until just a few years ago no one even KNEW who the Yazidi people were.
Dwight David Eisenhower we need you now!
coolbert.
