See this particular and very well done four-part series of videos from Vice News dealing with the Iraq crisis and the Kurds.
Of interest that the various political parties of Kurdistan all have their own peshmerga combat force. Including the PKK [communist]. Those combatants not one concentrated and unified combat unit under one unified combat commander. This cannot be good.

That ability of ISIL to use propaganda and social Internet media as a tool of war is most profound. And all that skill and ability comes from where exactly?
