Within the context of ISIL this blog entry germane! Many previous blog entry having referred to the combatants of ISIL as Salafi.

ISIL combatants and adherents best described as and understood as Salafists. Muslims adhering as close as possible to the original first three generations of Muslims from the time of Mohammad.
