This is coolbert:
Here begins a series of blog entries based on the latest edition of the DEBKAfile newsletter:
"Russian S-400 missiles turn most of Syria into no-fly zone, halt US air strikes"
28 November.
"The Russian deployment to Syria of the highly advanced S-400 missiles, plus new electronic warfare equipment, has turned much of Syria into a no-fly zone and electronic battle ground. Since the missiles were deployed Wednesday, Nov. 25, the US and Turkey have suspended air strikes over Syria against Islamic State targets. Both are wary of their planes being shot down by the S-400, against, against which the US, Turkish and Israeli air forces have no practical experience. US attacks on ISIS in Iraq continue."
NO AMERICAN OR TURKISH AIR STRIKES AGAINST ISIL TARGETS IN SYRIA.
The Turk in particular will see this as a major setback. NO forty-six kilometer buffer zone can either be established or maintained. That Turkomen militia in opposition to Assad now not able to receive close-air-support on demand?
coolbert.
