From a previous blog entry:
"Australian Foreign Minister Julia Bishop reported Monday on the intelligence-sharing deal she had concluded with Iran during her visit to Tehran to track foreign fighters working with ISIS in Iraq. At home, she was criticized by the opposition"
Julia Bishop! A female. Negotiating and having concluded negotiations with the Shia Muslim in Iran.
Having women diplomats or females in a negotiating status in Islamic nations is not a good idea? Here is what the British intelligence officer Colonel John Hughes-Wilson has to say on the matter:
"Unpalatable as it may be to Western liberals, feminists or intellectuals, to send a female ambassador to an Arab country is always a calculated risk. In a culture where only men control power and events, and 'strong' men are much praised, female pleni-potentiaries are always at a disadvantage unless they themselves can demonstrate that they are unusually powerful figures or are capable of wielding power forcefully"
Sending a female to negotiate with the rulers of a Muslim might even be seen as a deliberate and egregious offensive gesture. AN INSULT DELIBERATE AND PROVOCATIVE AND NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN OR EXCUSED?
