This is coolbert:
Just a short time ago the thought that female soldiers might be allowed into the U.S. Army Ranger program much less be able to complete the course would have seemed absurd or even presposterous.
NOT SO NOW!
"Army will take 160 female Ranger School volunteers"
"The U.S. Army’s plan to conduct an integrated Ranger School assessment in 2015 is looking good — interest is so high that the number of female volunteers must be cut to 160 candidates."
"All women selected by their commands and units will take part in the two-week Army National Guard Ranger Training and Assessment Course. Those who successfully complete the pre-Ranger course at Fort Benning, Georgia, will then move on to Ranger School, which is held 11 times a year."
That first stage a two-week PRELIMINARY course merely to see if the candidate able to meet the grueling physical requirements of the entire and full Ranger program.
IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT THROUGH THAT PRELIMINARY COURSE FORGET THE REST, YOU WILL NOT MAKE IT.
And as with everyone else that is a candidate for the Ranger school, you had better be parachute qualified as well. NOT a hard a fast MUST MEET requirement but highly recommended!!
Good look ladies. Interest is one thing, completion and success is another.
coolbert.
