Kurdish military commanders of the peshmerga not able to go on the offensive. Lacking what they deem as the necessary heavy firepower. Armor, artillery. Probably helicopter gunships too.

NOT modern enough!! NOT powerful enough!! More, more, more, more!!

At least to an extent the Kurds HAVE THAT STUFF ALREADY AND HAVE HAD "THAT STUFF" FOR SOME TIME.

Perhaps not the latest and greatest but at least what might be considered to be adequate.

See from the wiki the types of small arms and heavy military hardware as already available to the peshmerga.

Each political party among the Kurds possessing their own militia, there NOT BEING A SINGLE RECOGNIZED GENERAL OFFICER OR COMMANDER HAVING UNITY OF COMMAND!! EACH MILITIA OPERATING AUTONOMOUSLY AND INDEPENDENTLY, EACH APPARENTLY WITH THEIR OWN AGENDA.
