The EU [European Union] from time to time broaching the subject of a Euro Corps. The combined military forces of the various EU nations acting in concert sans American [or Canadian for that matter] participation. But nothing ever seems to come of that concept, at least to my knowledge.

According the military historian and analyst Martin van Creveld the Israeli military at the present time probably the second most powerful military in the world!!

The EU has a long way to go, don't they?
