This is coolbert:
Movie review. The movie being reviewed is the "Bedford Incident". From over fifty years ago but still entertaining.
"Nerve-wracking suspense surrounds THE BEDFORD INCIDENT, the tale of a U.S. naval vessel on a routine NATO patrol that ends up in a freakish-showdown with a Russian submarine."
American destroyer Captain [Richard Widmark] a man taking his duty seriously to the point of fanaticism. His ship [USS Bedford] while on NATO mission confronts a poaching Soviet submarine in Greenland waters and the chase is on.
The USS Bedford a ship as manned by a crew:
* NONE of which ever show up for daily sick call!
* NONE of which have any desire for women!
* NONE of which have any desire for alcohol!
* NONE of which ever fore-sake their military duty for high paying lucrative civilian employment!
An outstanding cast to include:
* Richard Widmark.
* Sidney Poitier.
* James Mac Arthur.
* Wally Cox.
* Martin Balsam.
I recommend this movie. Without qualification or reservation whole-heartedly so! Be prepared too for surprise ending.
