This is coolbert:
From a variety of sources as reported Muslims behaving badly in a very unseemly way. Bad behavior with a military dimension.
Iraq!
1. "Iraq cemetery containing graves of British servicemen is destroyed"
"A First and Second World War cemetery in Basra has been destroyed by vandals and looters"
Libya!
2. "Grave Robbery"
"Rumor: Video shows a group of Muslims destroying burial plots of non-Muslims at a British WWII cemetery in Libya."
NOW even Yemen!
3. "Vile masked Islamists use sledgehammers to destroy graves of British war heroes"
"BARBARIC ISIS militants have desecrated the graves of British war heroes with sledgehammers and crowbars while on a senseless rampage"
IN ALL FAIRNESS [??] AND AS IS MENTIONED BY SNOPES ISLAMIC STATE SALAFISTS THE VERY NOTION OF A CEMETERY WITH MONUMENTS, HEADSTONES, GRAVE MARKERS CONSIDERED AS A FORM OF IDOL WORSHIP!
The British military in their long history burying their falalen troops in the soil where they fell. NOT repatriating the bodies to England!

Allied WMD.
This is coolbert:
Here with instances of allied personnel exposed to chemical agent [mustard gas] for experimental purposes as was the case during the Second World War [WW2].
"New book says amount of mustard gas exposure in World War II may be higher than acknowledged by government"
From the article by Chuck Raasch as seen in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Jun 27, 2017
"Quoting recent public estimates of experiments conducted on more than 2,500 Canadians, 2,500 Australians, 7,000 Britons and 60,000 Americans, Smith [Susan L. Smith, a history professor at Canada’s University of Alberta in Edmonton.] writes: 'These are all likely low estimates due to incomplete records and government restrictions on still-classified military records.'”
Now with the rest of the story. American sailors when enlisting and prior to induction asked if they were willing to volunteer for a special program. VOLUNTEER!
All VOLUNTEERS guaranteed NO OVERSEAS DUTY for the duration of the war.
MEANING NO POSSIBILITY OF COMBAT DUTY!1
VOLUNTEERS not told the nature of the program. Chemical warfare experimentation. VOLUNTEERS all sworn to secrecy.
VOLUNTEERS locked into a gas chamber, told to mask, poison gas then released.
Testing of masks, filters, decontamination procedures all conducted WITH LIVE SUBJECTS!!
This project for a period of years after the end of WW2 highly [??] classified. INDEED, records STILL classified?

Haider Iraq.
This is coolbert:
Also from the DEBKAfile newsletter and as copied more less in entirety; eight months into the battle for Mosul the Iraqi central government in Baghdad somewhat jubilant perhaps prematurely so?
"Contrary to Iraqi PM's announcement, end of ISIS 'caliphate' is still far off"
29 June.
"Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced Thursday evening that the ISIS "caliphate" has come to an end after Iraqi special forces in the city of Mosul captured the ruins of al-Nuri mosque, where in 2014 Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi declared the caliphate's establishment. As usual, the Iraqi prime minister's comments were greatly exaggerated. The capture of the mosque blown up by ISIS last week was an important step but the city is not completely in government hands. Also, there are large areas nearby including in Anbar province and the Euphrates valley in western Iraq where ISIS remains in complete control. Meanwhile, there were reports on Thursday that the Syrian Democratic Forces, a Kurdish militia supported by the US, had completely surrounded the city of Raqqa that was once considered the ISIS capital in Syria. However, there are still large areas in the central, eastern and southern parts of the country that are still controlled by the terrorist organization. ISIS forces are retreating on most fronts but they are not in flight and there are no signs that they are collapsing."
A military force while retreating in a disorganized and unplanned manner beaten. A military force retreating in an organized and planned manner not beaten. The latter rather than the former is ISIL?

Chemicals Syria!
This is coolbert:
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!
"From the latest edition of the DEBKAfile newsletter some details regarding a threatened use of chemical agents by those forces loyal to Assad of Syria. Preparations for the use of chemicals evidently observed in advance and an appropriate warning issued by American authorities. Chemical attack averted!! So is the allegation.
1. "US sternly warns Assad against chemical attack"
27 June
"Press Secretary Sean Spicer said Monday night that the US 'has identified potential preparations for another chemical weapons attack by the Assad regime that would likely result in the mass murder of civilians, including innocent children.'"
2. "Haley: Russia and Iran to share blame for any chemical attacks by Assad"
27 June.
"The US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley declared on Twitter that any chemical weapons attack by Bashar Assad's Syrian government on his own citizens 'will be blamed on Assad but also on Russia and Iran who support him killing his own people.'"
3. "Macron agrees to work with Trump against a new Assad chemical attack"
27 June.
In a phone call Tuesday, President Emmanuel Macron told President Donald Trump that Paris could launch unilateral air strikes against targets in Syria in their common response to a new chemical attack in Syria.
4. "US may preempt an Assad chemical strike in Syria"
27 June.
"Signs were gathering in Washington and the Middle East Tuesday, June 26 that the Trump administration was preparing a substantial military operation against the Syrian army and Bashar Assad's allies, such as the foreign pro-Iranian Shiite militias and Hizballah. Some US military sources suggested that an American preemptive strike was in store in the coming hours to prevent Assad's army from again resorting to chemical warfare against his people."
5. "US prevented imminent Syrian chemical weapon attack: Mattis"
28 June.
"The regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad halted preparations for its latest chemical weapon attack after Washington warned Damascus that it would pay a heavy price for such a strike, American Defense Secretary James Mattis told reporters on Wednesday"
More than mere retaliation was on the table here? "Preemptive strike" as it is referred to was considered and plans made, apparent to all?

Technicals.
This is coolbert:
The "technical" apparently now an institutionalized weapon of war NOT merely a field-expedient ad hoc weapons system!
A pickup truck with a heavy crew-served weapon mounted in the bed. Often that weapon a Dashka Soviet era heavy machine-gun.
"Technical is a neologism for a light improvised fighting vehicle, typically an open-backed civilian pickup truck or four-wheel drive vehicle mounting a machine gun, anti-aircraft gun, rotary cannon, anti-tank weapon, ATGM, mortar, multiple rocket launcher, recoilless rifle or other support weapon, somewhat like a light military gun truck."
1. "U.S. to Give Some Syria Rebels Ability to Call Airstrikes"
"After training, moderate rebels to get pickups with gear to call for American B-1B bombers"
"WASHINGTON—The U.S. has decided to provide pickup trucks equipped with machine guns and radios for calling in U.S. airstrikes to some moderate Syrian rebels, defense officials said."
2. "Iran’s Latest Tactic Against Islamic State — Send in the Battle Buggies That’s one way to swarm the enemy"
"Minimally-trained irregular troops can deploy the swift little vehicles to strike and even surround the enemy in an urban environment — like a swarm of insects."
3. "Artillery: Magical Mortars Appear In Syria"
Further according to the wiki and regarding the Toyota Hilux pickup truck and the suitability of same as a technical:
"Due to its durability and reliability, the Toyota Hilux, along with the larger Toyota Land Cruiser, has become popular among militant groups in war-torn regions as a 'technical' . . . the Hilux is 'the vehicular equivalent of the AK-47. It's ubiquitous to insurgent warfare'."
Suddenly everybody wants a technical. Barkeeper, technicals for everyone!!

An EIMOS 81 mm mortar. The total package. That mortar having built-in recoil mechanism.

Collision!
This is coolbert:
French and British nuclear-powered ballistic-missile firing submarines collide. This incident occurring 2009. NOT NECESSARILY SEEN AS A BAD THING?
Thanks to the Internet War is Boring web site.
"The Alarming Story of How French and British Nuclear Submarines Collided"
"Fault for 2009 incident rests in ballistic missile subs' own technology"
THESE SLBM NUCLEAR SUBMARINES A VICTIM OF THEIR TECHNOLOGY BEING TOO GOOD? SUBMARINES OPERATING SO SILENTLY THEY CANNOT BE DETECTED BY ANY MEANS. UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS THE SUBMARINES GOING-BLIND UNDERWATER OBLIVIOUS TO THE PRESENCE OF OTHER SUBMERSIBLES AND COLLIDE!
NOR are the various nations operating these SLBM willing to share even with allies even the approximate locations of patrols.
This is an example of "big ocean, little ship"? Chances of such collision unintentional but nonetheless a possible. CATASTROPHIC RESULTS ALSO A POSSIBLE!!
coolbert.
“We face an extremely simple technological problem, which is that these submarines are not detectable.” - - French defense minister HervĂ© Morin

Sparks USA.
This is coolbert:
Americans behaving badly? The Nazi concentration camp of Dachau being liberated, American troops executing in cold blooded murder German SS guards and personnel. Such is the allegation.
From the Daily Mail:
"Revealed: American doctor's first-hand account of how he saw Dachau's SS guards being tortured and shot dead by GIs in 'cold blood' because they 'so had it coming'"
* "Capt Wilsey told his wife that soldiers had shot SS 'beasts' against a wall and said: 'I saw it done without a single emotion'"
WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT Killings by the American soldiers
NOT DONE WITHOUT EMOTION AND NOT PREMEDITATED WITH TORTURE! RATHER SPONTANEOUS AND THE RESULT OF ONE MAN ACTING RASHLY?
Am I being pedantic?
From the account of Col. Sparks the American commander at the scene:
"It was the forgoing incident which has given rise to wild claims in various publications that most or all of the German prisoners captured at Dachau were executed. Nothing could be further from the truth. The total number of German guards killed at Dachau during that day most certainly not exceed fifty, with thirty probably being a more accurate figure. The regimental records for that date indicate that over a thousand German prisoners were brought to the regimental collecting point. Since my task force was leading the regimental attack, almost all the prisoners were taken by the task force, including several hundred from Dachau." - - Colonel Sparks.
One thousand Germans surrendered with only a small portion of the whole shot dead in an inadvertent and regrettable manner!
