Not actually making frankfurters. Merely warming them.

Seems like a rather harsh sentence for what to most observers would seem to be a trifling offense.

Lighting a fire [heating the frankfurters] on the Jewish Sabbath forbidden. Food to be consumed the Sabbath day is prepared in advance and and then eaten without reheating.
