AS IN ALL WARS IT SEEMS A PORTION OF THE WOUNDED OR KILLED DUE TO FRIENDLY FIRE!

"Of the deceased some were killed by Israeli airstrikes, shrapnel from their own explosives, being run over by Israeli armored vehicles, and mistakenly identified and hit with tank fire, shelling and/or guns. These numbers do not take into account injuries resulting from friendly fire, but the IDF has indicated that they have had reports of those."

Troops perishing in vehicle accidents or run over by a tank during a period of darkness counting as friendly fire!

C. How about friendly fire?   Gazan War Israeli killed.

Percent killed by friendly fire in Gaza Strip: About 7 %.

As to American friendly fire deaths the Vietnam War I have seen estimates of about 8,000 killed. A 13 % portion of USA dead the Second Indo-China War by military fratricide as supposed.

"Note, the percent of expected friendly fire casualties has never been firmly established. Traditionally the figure from WWII was 1 or 2%. Many people considered these estimates low. It was clearly higher than that in Vietnam (1965-1973), but no one has assembled any systematic data"

My perspective of  American Vietnam War friendly fire deaths the reason:

* Excessive use of excessive firepower. * Hugging tactics of the enemy. * Injudicious and blatant radio insecurity.
