This is supposedly because he blabbed about plans to pump poison gas or some other chemical into the Azov steel works to smoke out the defenders and avoid a bloody infantry fight, if the RF [Russian Federation] has to go in there after them. Also, allegedly, he is in big trouble for shambolic DPR attacks against the UAF [Ukrainian Armed Forces], and for losing the town Horlivka. All this this smells like UAF hybrid warfare noise, and there’s no confirmation."

Eduard more correctly described as a militia leader and Deputy Minister of Defense the DPR?

Those 3,000 or so Ukrainian militia and army troops occupying the Azov steel works and underground complex going to be hard to defeat. If the water, food, ammunition and medical supplies are adequate, resistance is not futile. A protracted siege quite possible even beyond what has already transpired.

Gas of a poisonous nature or perhaps "merely" a riot type of agent contemplated? Smoke em' out. Make life unbearable at the bare minimum.
