This is coolbert:
From MARCONI.through Harry at Sharkhunters:
"Moscow continues with its preparations for the Zapad 2017 bilateral strategic military exercises with Belarus in September, widely expected to the the largest display of Russian military strength since the disintegration of the Soviet Union . . . the Russian defense ministry supposedly plans to use more than 4,000 train cars to redeploy it s forces into Belarus for the exercise. . . . the sheer scale of the troop movements indicates a force size way beyond the officially reported 13,000 [troops] prompting speculation that Russian forces might stay behind Belarusian soil after Zapad 2017."
From Popular Mechanics read this amazing stuff regarding the Zapad 2013 wargames:
"The Zapad 2013 exercises, also held by Russia and Belarus, were publicly claimed to involve approximately 12,000 troops but in reality that number was more like 90,000, according to the Atlantic Council. How many troops will really exercise in September is anyone's guess, although some NATO members believe the true number of troops will be around 100,000."
