This is coolbert:
The American President Barack Obama who is a Nobel Peace Prize winner now embarks on a mission of war.
The American people demand legal and moral justification when committing military force. In the case of engaging in combat with the forces of ISIL satisfaction of certain criteria must and SHOULD be met.
"Just War Theory and ISIS"
"In our constitutional republic there are two criteria for determining if an action by government is moral and/or legal"
1. "The first criteria is the "Laws of Nature and Nature's God." This requires the action committed by government to be moral, which means to be in accordance with natural law"
2. "our second criteria -- the will of the people . . . nine out of ten Americans also believes ISIS to be a serious threat"
There are seven components to Just War Theory. Let's take a look at each and see if military action against ISIS applies.
[Those] seven components to Just War Theory:
* Just Cause.
* Comparative Justice.
* Competent Authority.
* Right Intention.
* Probability of Success.
* Last Resort.
* Proportionality.
That decision of the ancient churchmen that Christianity is NOT a pacifist religion decided a long time ago. That remark of JESUS to "turn the other cheek" not suggesting passivity in the face of danger as understand within the context of the time [2,000 years ago]. Rather understand "turn the other cheek" as more correctly meaning SHOW CONTEMPT FOR!
