RVV-BD.

This is coolbert:

From an acknowledged aviation authority some comments regarding the establishment of a NATO declared and maintained no-fly zone over Ukraine.

Such an action of patrolling a no-fly zone over Ukraine by NATO warplanes without question and should be obviously and admittedly so distressingly dangerous!

Peril as described:

"I [acknowledged aviation authority] noted that any effort to establish a no fly zone as suggested would lead to even more expansion of the war. Russia has those great anti-air missiles with 2-300 mile ranges, making it possible to endanger planes for a long distance from Russian home territory. Those would have to be taken out with strikes by drones, cruise missiles, and planes--a huge move in a condition of war: striking Russian targets within its own borders."

Tankers, AWACS and C4ISTAR warplanes supporting the no-fly zone mission in greatest danger from this Russian air-to-air missile

Vympel RVV-BD R-37. Axehead.

"The Vympel R-37 (NATO reporting name: AA-13 Axehead) is a Russian hypersonic air-to-air missile with very long range."

"It was designed to shoot down tankers, AWACS and other C4ISTAR aircraft while keeping the launch platform out of range of any fighters that might be protecting the target."

ELIMINATE THOSE TANKERS, AWACS AND C4ISTAR AND NATO MISSION KAPUT!

"According to Defence Today, the range depends on the flight profile, from 80 nautical miles (150 km) for a direct shot to 215 nautical miles (398 km) for a cruise glide profile. According to Jane's speculation there could be two variants, the R-37 and the R-37M; the latter has a jettisonable rocket booster that increases the range to '300–400km' (160–220 nm)."

RANGE OF THE VYMPEL QUITE EXTRAORDINARY. THE USE OF SUCH A WEAPON WOULD MEAN A MARKED ESCALATION OF HOSTILITIES WELL BEYOND THE BORDERS OF THE UKRAINE. WITH THE FURTHER POSSIBILITY OF DISASTROUS CONSEQUENCES NOBODY WANTS.
