Indo-Pac IV.

This is coolbert:

Japan. Containment and denial!

Continuing and concluding the series of blog entries considerations of a geo-political nature the Indian and Pacific Oceans. [Indo-Pac]

See part I, part II, part III.

As it was in the days of the Cold War for the Japanese navy so as it is today with regard to the Chinese? Chinese naval access to the pelagic waters [deep waters] of the Pacific ocean constrained by choke points. The Japanese their strategic ability able to control the choke points of  the Bashi channel and the Miyako Strait vital to the containment and denial of the Chinese navy.

THE JAPANESE THEIR ABILITY  TO PUT TO SEA A DEEP WATER NAVY ALSO AN INDICATION OF LESSENING AMERICAN INFLUENCE IN THE WORLD?

"He who controls the oceans controls the trade. He who controls the trade controls the commerce. He who controls the commerce controls the world!" - - Sir Walter Raleigh.

Anyone disagree with Sir Walter??
