APU HIMARS.

This is coolbert:

"Ukraine is waging a defensive war and has no plans to use MLRS to attack targets in Russia. Any statements about such intentions are a psychological operation of the Russian special services" - Mykhailo Podolyak.

Will they or won't they? Ukrainian military having obtained the HIMARS rocket artillery system from the USA will firing on targets inside of Russia proper?

According to one Ukrainian official:

1. "Advisor to the Head of Zelensky's Office: APU [Armed Forces Ukraine] will not shoot at Russian territory from the HIMARS MLRS"

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) allegedly will not shoot at Russian territory from American-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). In Kyiv, they explain that the Ukrainian military does not intend to do this, as they are waging a 'defensive war.'"

We can all rest easy now. HIMARS as supplied to the Ukrainian will only be used in an agreed upon manner, terms and conditions apply.

OR IS THIS SO? CONSIDER ADDITIONALLY:

2. "Arestovich: "Crimea is the territory of Ukraine, so the ban on the use of American MLRS does not apply to it" (Ukrainian presidential adviser)"

"Ukraine will not comply with the restrictions allegedly imposed on it by the Americans on the use of long-range multiple launch rocket systems. This is confirmed by the latest statements of Ukrainian politicians, including from among the Zelensky team."

Correct. The annexation of Crimea by Russia not recognized by Kiev. Crimea still considered to be Ukrainian territory. Firing at Russian military targets in Crimea according to Kiev would NOT be a violation of any agreement with the USA on the employment of HIMARS.

Those HIMARS Ukraine bound their range however restricted to a shorter range rocket. NOT able to targets inside Russia: "the systems are transferred only in the MLRS version with a firing range of 80 km [about fifty miles]."

Krim [Crimea] out of range then? We are saved from further confrontation with the Russians then? This has yet to all play out.

coolbert.
