Add one more Russian senior military commander to the list of those General officers lost in combat Ukraine. Questions truly need to be answered about this.

Retired Russian Air Force Major General Kanamat Botashev. Retired. Sixty-three years old!

A military man, even as an aviator of much experience in high-performance combat warplanes should not have been allowed to fly the Frogfoot into combat? Kanamat had been checked-out as they say, and considered to be combat worthy? I would assume that is the normal practice for the Russian as for just about any other reputable air force?
