Juno.

This is coolbert:

The anger of the Canadian people is waxed exceedingly hot? Canadians? Normally Canadians are thought of as such nice people. Canadians too have their limits.

From the CBC and the story by Nick Boisvert · CBC News · Posted: Mar 11, 2022.

"Canadians fighting proposed condo [condominium] development at Juno Beach D-Day site"

"condominium: 3a: individual ownership of a unit in a multiunit structure (such as an apartment building) or on land owned in common (such as a town house complex)"

COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT JUNO BEACH. WHERE THE CANADIAN ARMY LANDED, 6 JUNE, 1944. A SACRED SITE IS BEING DESECRATED?

"A group of Canadians is organizing to stop a proposed condo development at Juno Beach in France, the site of the D-Day landing that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Canadian soldiers."

[....]

"Save Juno Beach says the construction of condos on the site where Canadian soldiers took part in the pivotal Normandy landings will dishonour the sacrifices of Canadian soldiers who stormed the beach on June 6, 1944."

Herewith a comment from an astutue observer:

"Now, it is time for the masses of land around the D-Day invasions to be contested, this time by commercial enterprises who have little time/regard for history and memories, only for cash. It is the nature of capitalism and of human nature. How long do we tie up development of prime real estate to memorialize the sacrifice of so many so long ago? I agree with saving as much as we can, but also recognize that time marches on, and we don't."
