As was discussed in a prior blog entry the Russian private military contractor [PMC] Wagner Group their recent activities in Mozambique far less successful than either desired or anticipated. Rather the opposite. NOW Wagner entering into the Mali/Sahel fray? What makes Wagner think they are going to do any better in Mali than they did in Mozambique?

Russian mercenaries I am told heavy on brawn, much less so on brain.
