This is coolbert:
Courtesy the tip from Jay Big Red on the move. Oceanic style. Russian warships transit the English channel.
"Russian cruise missile frigate, group of Northern Feet ships enter English Channel"
"This is the first voyage for the frigate Admiral Gorshkov"
"MOSCOW, March 5. /TASS/. The Russian missile frigate Admiral Gorshkov, the multifunctional logistics support vessel Elbrus, the rescue tug Nikolai Chiker and the sea tanker Kama are passing through the English Channel, the press service of the Russian Northern Fleet reports."
. . . .
"In the next few months, the ships’ crews will be performing long-distance voyage missions in various parts of the World Ocean. The voyage aims to demonstrate the Russian Navy’s flag and provide for naval presence in operational areas of the long-distance oceanic zone."
SHOW THE FLAG! POWER PROJECTION WITH GLOBAL GEO-POLITICAL MACHINATIONS IN MIND!
Historically the British very antsy and on-edge when it come to the presence of naval vessels of hostile foreign powers in the English channel. Think the Spanish Armada, the Channel Dash, Dogger Bank and the most recently the Admiral Kuznetsov.
"ant·sy. - - ADJECTIVE. NORTH AMERICAN. informal: agitated, impatient, or restless."
British not fearful but concerned? It is just a normal training and operational exercise? Right?
