This is coolbert:
Devoted readers to the blog please understand I am not even hardly conversant in the organization and structure of the British Army or Royal Marine Commando. If this post contains mistakes please forgive me!
As seen in 2014 from the English Daily Mail and as is germane to that previous blog entry:
"Five women to become first female Army Commandos"
Women within the ranks of the combat arms troops the English are already there?
"Five Army women are preparing to serve as Britain's first female Royal Marine commandos [RMC]."
"The 'GI Janes' have been offered provisional places in May to undergo one of the world's toughest military training courses."
"If they succeed, the women will win the coveted green beret. But before they can qualify, the women face ten weeks on a gruelling course which has led to the deaths of five male recruits in the past five years."
29 Commando British Army artillery and NOT Royal Marines. 29 Commando army artillery and on-call to provide fire support to the Royal Marines when RMC actually involved in combat operations.
WOMEN ALREADY AN INTEGRAL PART OF 29 COMMANDO. PASSING THE RMC QUALIFICATION COURSE A DIFFERENT MATTER?
The commando as organized during the Second World War branch of service immaterial. Personnel volunteers each and everyone from the ranks of army, navy, air force and marines. Commando strictly a war-time measure but units such as 29 Commando maintained and organized with the intention of supporting RMC in combat their personnel requirements [29 Commando] qualification and standards of training similar if not downright the same as RMC.
"The Commando Gunners are equipped with twelve 105mm Light Guns and Fire Support Teams (FSTs) trained to coordinate firepower for the combat arm. The FST also coordinates other indirect fire support assets such as mortars, fast jets, attack helicopters and Naval Gunfire Support from Royal Naval ships"
Good luck ladies!!
