This is coolbert:
Read this article by Eric Margolis thanks to the Ron Unz Internet web site. Kashmir is a low-intensity and forgotten war but hardly small potatoes CONSIDERING THE TWO ADVERSARIES ARE NUCLEAR POWERS!!
"Beware the Kashmir Volcano"
"The divided south Asian mountain state of Kashmir is like a volcano: forgotten when quiescent, but terrifying when it comes alive."
. . . .
"the Kashmir conflict is now the world’s oldest major crisis."
. . . .
"A week ago, Kashmiri militants attacked an Indian Army brigade base at Uri that sits near the 1948-49 cease-fire line known as the Line Of Control (LOC). Seventeen Indian regular soldiers died along with four militants. New Delhi rushed 10,000 soldiers to Kashmir, boosting Indian military strength in the mountain state to over 500,000 [?] men."
This sounds to me as the sapper style attack as was so popular among the communist forces during the Second Indo-China war. The defensive perimeter breached, dedicated and highly motivated assailants throwing hand grenades in profusion, targets well chosen in advance so as to cause the maximum amount of damage..
A CONFLICT BETWEEN INDIA AND PAKISTAN WOULD INEVITABLY [??] INVOLE A NUCLEAR EXCHANGE TO THE DETRIMENT OF THE ENTIRE WORLD AND WITH PREDICTABLE CATASTROPHE FOR THE ENTIRE SUB-CONTINENT!
coolbert.
