This is coolbert:
From the Fresno Bee and the article by Professor Hanson a whole new perspective to the world energy supply, demand, price, and the threat of global chaos.
"Victor Davis Hanson . . . is an American military historian, columnist, former classics professor, a scholar of ancient warfare . . . a noted historian and social critic whose philosophies are rooted in classicism"
The classics indeed!! I guess the idea is that when Professor Hanson speaks we all must listen.
"Victor Davis Hanson: A large war is looming"
"The world is changing and becoming even more dangerous — in a way we’ve seen before."
. . . .
"We are entering a similarly dangerous interlude. Collapsing oil prices — a good thing for most of the world — will make troublemakers like oil-exporting Iran and Russia take even more risks."
Instantly I am reminded of the predictions of the British Admiral Parry from not so long ago. That world order as we understand it due to a set of circumstances will begin to break down the result being chaos and the very real threat of war, local, regional, world-wide.
WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF "COLLAPSING OIL PRICES" BOTH RUSSIAN AND IRAN HAVE PREDICATED THEIR GOVERNMENTAL BUDGETS BASED ON AN OIL PRICE OF $100 USD PER BARREL. THAT PRICE NOW $60 USD AND CONTINUING TO DROP!
Since the events in the Middle East with the onslaught on ISIL beginning last June, the price of gasoline at the pump in my area has dropped forty percent [40 %]. That was unanticipated, counter-intuitive, much welcomed by the American public but in other parts of the world has caused consternation!!
coolbert.
