This is coolbert:
From Reuters and thanks to the tip from World Net Daily we have some info regarding the "panel" that maintains the "kill list" authorizing the use of lethal force against Americans engaging in terrorist acts - - persons placed in the cross-hairs, the normal protections of judicial due process having been circumvented during a time of 4GW [fourth generational warfare]! This purported secret panel a topic of a recent blog entry.
"Secret panel can put Americans on 'kill list'"
"WASHINGTON - - (Reuters) - American militants like Anwar al-Awlaki are placed on a kill or capture list by a secretive panel of senior government officials, which then informs the president of its decisions, according to officials."
The "panel" following a rigid [?] protocol, very similar to what existed in England many hundreds of years go during the era of the Star Chamber.
"the panel, which is a subset of the White House's National Security Council . . . the National Security Council does the investigation, they have lawyers, they review, they look at the situation, you have input from the military, and also, we make sure that we follow international law"
The final decision to use that lethal force being the sole prerogative of the President? This is not clear and will not be made clear?
Back in the days of the Vietnam War this was called "termination with extreme prejudice"? KILL!! Should not however, be thought of as mindless murder of a draconian nature. Selective and names added to the list only after careful consideration?
An Adam Gadahn for instance is mentioned as being a mouthpiece and nothing more. Treasonous but not operationally dangerous. So it is said.
coolbert.
