"Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned Saturday that Russian troops are creating a 'catastrophic' situation for civilians by leaving mines around homes, abandoned equipment and the bodies of those killed."

The Red Army during the Second World War famous for their use of land mines both during OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE operations.

Red Army also famous for digging up German minefields and using recovered mines for their own purposes.

That is what the Ukrainian needs to do now if they intend to prevail in this conflict.

Hard to do but who ever said war was easy?
