Protection?

This is coolbert:

"prophylactic: defending or protecting from disease or infection, as a drug. preventive or protective."

That the relatively low percentage of American military personnel willing to be inoculated against the Covid-19 virus not so unremarkable?

Within context of the First Gulf War [1991] several untested and unverified vaccine and prophylactics given. Allegedly resulting in harmful side-effects.

1. "Pyridostigmine Bromide and Gulf War Veterans"

"VA and research organizations evaluated exposure to pyridostigmine bromide (PB), an anti-nerve agent pill Gulf War Veterans may have taken during military service, as a possible cause of chronic multi-symptom illnesses."

MEDICATIONS as issued to the troops in case of exposure to nerve gas. Thought to be possibly beneficial when taken in addition to the conventional atropine antidote for nerve gas poisoning. But not tested or or verified as being so conclusively.

2. Thanks to the wiki entry American and British soldiers Gulf War One inoculated against anthrax. Vaccine approved but never [?] subjected to widespread clinical trials.

"During Operation Desert Storm, 41% of U.S. combat soldiers and 75% of UK combat soldiers were vaccinated against anthrax. (Reactions included local skin irritation, some lasting for weeks or months. While the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the vaccine, it never went through large-scale clinical trials."

An APPROVED vaccine for anthrax but also not widely tested and evaluated as being beneficial.

3. "DID VACCINES TRIGGER ILLNESS OF GULF VETS?"

Consider a vaccine against botulism also among the mix of unverified medication as administered to the troops during the First Gulf War. NOT exactly experimental but not subjected to the normal protocol of clinical trials.

DON'T THINK ANY OF THE GULF WAR SYNDROME ILLNESS EVER SATISFACTORILY EXPLAINED? RESEARCH CONTINUES?
