Poseidon P-8A.

This is coolbert:

"Myth? Who says I'm myth?"

From the Hotmail thanks to Harry at Sharkhunters.

 • "The Pentagon has approved the sale of five Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft to Germany, with the deal green lighted even though Berlin considers the planes too expensive to replace its Navy’s ageing stocks of Lockheed P-3C Orions."

 • "The Department of Defence issued a formal notice approving the sale earlier this month, with the $1.77 billion [USD] price tag indicating a per-plane price of $354 million [USD], far above the $83 million [USD] apiece contract Boeing penned with the US Navy, South Korean and New Zealand militaries last year."

NONE OF THIS MAKES SENSE. THAT COST TO THE GERMAN PER WARPLANE FOUR TIMES GREATER THAN AS WAS THE SAME [?] AIRCRAFT SOLD TO OTHER NATIONS!

I guess that is the question? The same aircraft? Perhaps the P-8A as to be sold to the Germans has enhanced features that greatly increase the cost? I am at a loss!
