Collision!

This is coolbert:

“We face an extremely simple technological problem, which is that these submarines are not detectable.” - - French defense minister Hervé Morin

French and British nuclear-powered ballistic-missile firing submarines collide. This incident occurring 2009. NOT NECESSARILY SEEN AS A BAD THING?

Thanks to the Internet War is Boring web site.

"The Alarming Story of How French and British Nuclear Submarines Collided"

"Fault for 2009 incident rests in ballistic missile subs' own technology"

THESE SLBM NUCLEAR SUBMARINES A VICTIM OF THEIR TECHNOLOGY BEING TOO GOOD? SUBMARINES OPERATING SO SILENTLY THEY CANNOT BE DETECTED BY ANY MEANS. UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS THE SUBMARINES GOING-BLIND UNDERWATER OBLIVIOUS TO THE PRESENCE OF OTHER SUBMERSIBLES AND COLLIDE!

NOR are the various nations operating these SLBM willing to share even with allies even the approximate locations of patrols.

This is an example of "big ocean, little ship"? Chances of such collision unintentional but nonetheless a possible. CATASTROPHIC RESULTS ALSO A POSSIBLE!!

coolbert.
